Abstract

      The purpose of the study is to find out the relationship between work overload, work ethic and organizational commitment among the public sector employees. This study is utilized descriptive research procedure to accomplish the purpose of the objective. The variables of the study are work overload, work ethic and organizational commitment experienced by private sectors employees, the target population of this study is defined as private sector employee who are all working in cuddalore district, Tamilnadu, India.  Samples of 465 respondents are approached to participate this study. Sample of the respondent are selected through the random sampling method.   Lee Allen and Mayer (2001) three components are namely affective commitment (AC), normative commitment (NC), and continuous commitment (CC), were taken.  Cousins, et. al., (2004) tool is considered to measure the work overload and work ethic.   All the statements are measured with five point scale.
