Abstract

This study was an attempt to measure the relationship between transformational leadership and psychological well-being. For this purpose, Ryff's Psychological Well-Being Scale and Singh & Krishnan’s Transformational Leadership Scale were administered on 10 managerial and 113 non-managerial personnels of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) Refinery, Barauni. A positive and significant correlation was found between psychological well-being and transformational leadership. A significant difference on psychological well-being and transformational leadership were found between managerial and non-managerial cadres. It was found that managerial employees scores significantly high on psychologically well-being and on transformational leadership than non-managerial ones. The results were discussed in light of other previous findings.
