Abstract
Proper electricity supply can be designated as the basic tool of industrialisation and reason of growth of any economy. All the developed economies have proper infrastructure required for 24x7 electricity supply that ultimately resulted in the development of the developed countries. Despite of the fact that India is one of the fastest growing economy, it still lacks Proper electricity supply to boost its process of industrialization. The present study focused on the industrial scenario in Mirzapur; and the impact of electricity supply shortage on micro enterprise and small enterprise located in Chunar, Marihan, Lalganj&Mirzapursadar, the four tehsils of Mirzapur district. The present research utilized both the secondary as well as primary data. Chi square analysis was used to study the association between the variables. From the results, it was found that there is shortage of electricity supply that hinders the production of industries and results in financial loss.
