Abstract
Infrastructure development forms one of the core objectives in the formulation of policies of every state. The improvement of basic infrastructure facilities of a country paves a way for its domestic development and welfare of the people. Therefore, for this aspiration for infrastructure development and welfare can be seen in domestic as well as a state’s policy towards rest of the world i:e foreign Policy which aims to meet domestic requirements of a nation while establishing social economic and political contacts with other states. The general purpose of this article is to provide a study on the role of India's foreign policy initiative called Act East in the development of North Eastern Region (NER) of India. The main objective of this study is to explore the infrastructure and connectivity projects that has been undertaken by the government of India in NER for the last years since its adoption in 2014.
