Abstract
Gandhian philosophy encompasses concepts of interrelation of means and end, trusteeship, sarvodaya, truth, satyagrah, non–violence, etc along with metaphysical contemplations on God and axiological reflection on ethics. In this paper, attempt has been made to evaluate and address some major selected contemporary problems/crises through the prism of Gandhian philosophy and thought. The purpose of the paper is to assess the relevance, value and significance of this philosophy to present day problems. Firstly, Gandhian thought has been enlisted under major headings of metaphysics, epistemology, axiology and major concepts of this philosophy. Thereafter, selected crisis visible in present scenario are addressed through solutions interspersed in Gandhian school of thought.
