Abstract
This paper attempts to highlight the role of environment in our heritage. Heritage has a huge influence of culture. Culture plays a pivotal role in the development and evolution of human being. Language, religion, perceptions as well as values and beliefs are a reflection of human being’s cultural background. Environment is not an escape. The way a person understands its ecology is completely different when the cultural perception changes. There can never be any correct or incorrect point of view for the concerning ecological aspects, but of course, the belongingness one develops in one’s culture is variable to the other culture which leads to one’s heritage. Indian culture worships all ecological aspects like water, tree, mountain, the sun, the earth, etc. whereas Christianity believes man is superior to everything that exists on earth. Literary production is always the mirror of culture of human species.
