Abstract

Though women have an advantage over men in terms of life expectancy fail to surpass morbidity. On an average women live approximately 7 years longer than men, still their later age is generally dominated by medical issues, one such inevitable stage is Menopause or cessation of menses.

Menopause does not occur suddenly or in an unpredictable manner, rather it is a transitional period which may last up to twenty-five yearlong span where the decline of estrogen may lead to a number of bodily changes. Also, normal ageing cycle and hormonal changes both go hand in hand. Comprehensive multispecialty health care centers for ageing women possess the potential to yield healthcare services that women require.
