Abstract
Reading is a skill that can be used for gaining knowledge on various subjects. It is primarily an intellectual activity, which can generate new ideas in readers. Reading has always been an important element in education and culture. This paper discusses reading habits amongst Arts College students in Tiruchirapalli District, while suggesting implementable ideas on enhancing reading skills in these students. Survey in the form questionnaires were administered to 200 students and 150 student responses were received, at the response rate of 75%.
