Abstract
Today, many women writers discuss the independent survival of women focusing mainly on the question of identity crisis for women in the patriarchal society under the influence of Illegal Sex and Sexual Violence. In exploring the wide range of female drastic experiences by the cruel face of patriarchy; employing sex as weapon to manipulate and embarrass woman, the recent women writers portray women’s individual state. Among the writers in India, Nair gets the attention of the readers by her open writing on such issues. One can easily map out the problem of identity crisis in sexual matters in Nair’s works. Identity is not stable one, but it is an ever-conflicted tension between id and ego, conscious and subconscious mind of an individual. Women undergo too much of problems by the infliction of sex and sexual violence employed on them. Due to avarice sexual deeds, the crisis becomes too fatal in the lives of the individuals who come across it. Hence, the paper hovers on the select works of Nair and brings down the state of some women characters victimized to Illegal Sex and Sexual Violence.
