Abstract

Corporate social responsibility is a way for organizations to develop their image in the society while doing activities for social welfare beyond statutory compliance and there by gaining benefit from the government. It’s the ability to take responsibility which focuses on sustainable mandatory development of the society. It is self- regulatory policy decision inserted in Companies Act 2013.  Women Empowerment helps to improve the social, economic, political and legal strength of the women, in order to ensure equal-right to women. By CSR and women empowerment it tries to build confidence to fight for their rights and to participate in economic development.. Organizations through their CSR initiatives are providing basic education and awareness to women. Though to empower women is a tedious and hercules task but by the determined efforts of various companies through their CSR projects has made it reality for women empowerment.  Empowerment of women refers to protection of their social political, economic, judicial rights etc.
