Abstract
The entrepreneurs play important role in the machinery of a country’s economy. They are absolutely essential to the survival and growth of the Indian economy. This is why developing entrepreneurs is an important function. Agriculture is backbone of Indian economy and being the largest industry in the country, it provides the employment for around 65 per cent of total work force in the country. Agriculture provides the commodities for consumption, exports and for processing sectors. Cardamom was used in cooking by the ancient Greeks, then by the Romans, in Middle Ages and even today. Cardamom is called as queen of spices. It has a unique position in the international spices market as it is one of the most required spices. Cardamom is cultivated from the southern extend of evergreen forests of Western Ghats.
