Abstract

The present study assessed the relationship between achievement motivation and mental health of adolescents.  The sample consisted of 120 adolescents of 12th class from Gurgaon district of Haryana state was selected randomly. The sample was administered through mental health check-list developed and standardized by Kumar and Achievement motivation scale constructed and standardized by Beena. Mean, Standard Deviation (S.D), SED, t-test were used for analysis and interpretation of the data. The findings of the study revealed thatthere is no significant relationship between achievement motivation and mental health of adolescents. Moreover, rural and urban adolescents are significantly similar in their achievement motivation as per the findings.
