Abstract
Gender Sensitization is a process to create equilibrium in the society. A society where people of both the genders are taught to respect each other irrespective of their genders while acknowledging the differences. We are all aware of the problems which have persisted since ancient times because of gender discrimination. We have seen the difference that has existed since time immemorial between the two genders of human species. The divide which has existed since ages is a creation of the culture. We have to say that that the biological construct and the cultural construct are two very different things. The term gender is applied to that part of character of humans which is made by culture. It is in the culture that women are assigned duties of the house or they are given caring or soft jobs and it is believed that they are incapable of taking hard decisions. The topic of gender sensitization has risen because of this prevalent issue in the society. We have all seen that many problems in the society are because of the stereotypes that were created in the old times and we have adhered to those even today with utmost sincerity. But the roles for both the genders have changed dramatically.
