Abstract

Television has become an integral part of our lives. Along with food, shelter and clothing, Television has also become a basic necessity in people’s lifestyle. While much is being discussed about the impact of television on people, televisions still hold their sway in every household. As for children’s entertainment, the countless cartoon channels have gone much beyond just entertaining the children. Children’s physical, mental and social activities are highly influenced by the cartoons they watch. Children become a part of the fictitious world of cartoons and they try to extend this fictitious world into their world of reality. In this process, children become addicted to cartoons. This addiction to cartoons curbs all physical activities in children thereby resulting in many complexities.
