Abstract
The beginning of the 21st century is heralded by the increase in the internet users in India and elsewhere. The advent of internet and the pace with which the internet is being used has made the life of a common man easier but also enveloped many problems within its folds.
Man by his nature is always pushed to create a better life for himself and reach his full potential to attain this very goal. To embark on this journey his contribution and discoveries in the technological field is phenomenal. With the advent of internet towards the end of the 20th century, new dimensions in the field have opened. The functions performed are increasing day by day and lot of research is done in new avenues are taking birth by every passing day. India saw the same light by the beginning of the 21st century and since then there is no looking back, today India is in the top 3 countries in regard to number of people using internet.
