Abstract
Successfully leading an organization particularly non-profit organization needs courage, determination, goal-orientation and tremendous leadership qualities. Our case study examines and explores the life, establishment, growth & development of ‘World Community Service Centre (WCSC)’ – a non-profit organization founded by Vethathiri Maharishi (acknowledged spiritual leader in academic realm) which aims at bringing peace at global level as its ultimate objective. Its mission clarifies how to attain it by working on various spiritual, psychical and physical practices (Collectively known as SKY system of yoga) which are completely free from any religion base. Vethathiri Maharishi, being a victorious transformational leader, elevated his organization to national level and international level gradually through his exceptional management and leadership skills. The growth of WCSC towards its short term and long term objectives, though it was steady, is phenomenal. Unlike profit organization, non-profit organizations tend to create a change in individual behaviour and society which demands consistent and selfless efforts.
