Abstract

Patient safety practices are considered to be one of the crucial measures in hospitals. Recently patient safety are gaining enormous amount of attention by healthcare organizations in order to improve the quality aspects. There is an indeterminate link between patient safety and healthcare quality. Each process taking place within hospitals has an association with safety of patients. Patient safety practices are followed to prevent any incidence of harm towards patients which would help in increasing the quality of services provided in the healthcare organizations. The quality and patient safety are associated with numerous factors within the organization such as policies, procedures and their work environment. Employees who are working in a hospital have a definite connection with the patient safety. Errors in healthcare can cause harm to patients, eventually leads to death and morbidity. Prevention of such incidences should be the priority of hospitals which can be done by following safe practices. The study was conducted among the patients of the various corporate hospitals using questionnaire
