Abstract
If you are implementing wireless internet in private place then we require wifi broadcast
device and security devices which will cost more than 2 Lakhs , and sometimes we will not get good
internet speed and we may also face low speeds issue when more than one devices are connected to the
network. This issue can be resolved by Li-Fi technology founded by a German Physicist- Herald Haas.
He has introduced a new technology known as “Data through light” which means transmission of data
through LED lights which vary in intensities and at a speed faster to be followed by an human eye.
According to him, this technology is based on the intensity and potential of the light emitting diode. This
paper focuses on comparing wifi system and Lifi system and will further discusses the cost effectiveness
and performance of the same.
