Abstract
“Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is the innermost service in cloud computing stack, with other two being
Platform as a Service (PaaS) at middle layer and Software as a Service (SaaS) at outermost layer. IaaS is
umbrella covering the offerings, on which core cloud service are architected, viz. Compute, Network and
Storage. [1]. Study of “Storage” services in Cloud computing might be architecting storage solutions for
all cloud services or Storage as a Service (StaaS). Objective of this paper is limited to Study components
along with interfaces involved in Storage services that can be applied to both cloud computing needs,
Cloud-forStorage or Storage-for-Cloud. Then make generalized list which can be used for architecting
automation or reusable cloud solutions.
