Abstract

The present study explores the strategies of second language learning has been in practice at undergraduate level among distinguished age group learners who are having below average learning proficiency especially in Part II English subject. It is strongly believed among the students of arts and science in the nation particularly regional language medium studied at school education that English as a subject seems very hard to understand as well as score minimum pass mark in their semester examinations. Having poor knowledge in second language proficiency leads the learners to score average marks in major subjects too. The study has identified that respondents are in need off learning strategies to acquire the language and govern their mind to possess intention towards learning. Previous researches had revealed that getting poor marks and uncontrollable mind in studies were prior reasons of dropping at schools and colleges. The study has focused on utilization and practicing of various techniques in order to improve the natural tendency of learning especially in writing skills amid 60 selected respondents of 40 female students and 20 male students in a heterogenous group.
