Abstract
Demonetisation has long lasting impact on Economy. It is no doubt a policy decision of government for regulating economy. In 2016, the Indian government demonetized Indian rupee of several denomination. That has fueled to long debate of government decision at political and economic front. The present article has made an attempt to throw light on concept of demonetization. It also made a glimpse into past circumstances when such decisions have been taken. The article analyses the impact of demonetization on the economy
