Abstract
Synthesis and characterization of Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes of Schiff base obtained from 3-formyl-6-methylchromone and 4-nitrobenzenesulphonamide. The characterization of synthesized compounds performed by UV-Visible, IR, elemental analysis and physical properties. Antimicrobial screening studies of Schiff base and complexes against two types of bacteria i.e. Klebsiellapneumoniaeand Proteus vulgaris. Metal complexes shown more antimicrobial activity than the parent Schiff base.
