Abstract
Taxonomic studies on the family solanaceae was carried out in the district Bhopal. Various field surveys conducted to different localities of the area lead to the collection and identification of 13 species under 7 genera belonging to solanaceae family. The dominant generas with respect to number of the species was Solanum (5 species) followed by Cestrum and Datura with 2 species each. All the species after
