Abstract

In India, women entrepreneurs constitute a negligible proportion of the total entrepreneurs. The greatest asset of any country is human resource. In India, more than 50% of population is women section. In olden days, the women enjoyed lot of freedom and powers. They were allowed to take decision in the family and their role was a very reputed one. Women are by and large born managers as they manage their house. Education and employment have gained a status in society. According to Winston Churchill, Risk tolerance of Women Entrepreneurs Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm. Entrepreneurship happens to be of the best ways towards self sufficiency and poverty alleviation for women in a country where employment is not guaranteed. Involvement of women in entrepreneurial activities would ensure effective utilization of labor, generation of income and hence improvement in quality of life. Women empowerment through entrepreneurship is a must for a modern developed economy. This piece of research article intends to analyze the empowerment in the modern era and the challenges faced by them in tackling over family and work station as well.
