Abstract
Microfinance is an extremely good thought and this gives confidence women to save money and utilize money carefully in emergencies like natural calamities, unexpected health problems, etc. Women deposit money and they obtain interest for that deposited money. At any time women take loan microfinance is charged at a very low interest rate than given on deposit money. The research tries to identify the influence of microfinance on women empowerment. Sample size of the research was 172 SHGs members in Cuddalore district. The analysis identified that there is influence of dimensions of microfinance such as motivational training, micro saving and micro credit on women empowerment.
