Abstract
The success of banking business is depending on the performance of lending. There are some priority sectors to get loan as per the guideline of the government of India. This paper is analyzing the performance of the commercial banks on lending to those priority sectors in Tamil Nadu. The study is made on the success of achieving the Annual Credit Plan of the Commercial Banks. The total loan provided all over Tamil Nadu by the commercial banks to the priority sector is taken during 2017-2018. The data are provided for 31 districts as available from the State Level Bankers Committee,Tamilnadu .
