Abstract

Conflict situations are an integral part of our daily life.The biggest source of stress and dissatisfaction is that people are not able to resolve conflict situations. The aim of study is to analyse conflict management strategies by young people in our routine life. There are many opportunities for conflict management in our normal life. Common causes of conflict include poor communication, lack of understanding or clearly defined individual responsibilities and disagreements about priorities. Conflict arises between individuals due to different styles of communication, cultural backgrounds and political and religious views. Conflict arises within groups due to disagreements between subgroups, and conflict arises between groups due to misunderstandings on individuals. The purpose of conflict management is to teach conflict resolution skills, such as managing conflict, finding self-awareness about how they react when conflict arises and effectively communicating while in conflict with other individualrather than eliminating or avoiding disagreements.
