Abstract
In this research paper the researcher has tried to illustrate the life history of Dr. Hedgewar, the founder of RSS (Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh) as it is known in today’s popular parlance, was not only a born burning patriot but also a great son of month Bharat who descended or this material world to guide the future generations. There may be many criteria to measuring the height of greatness but Menon said that ht greatness of my leader can be measured by only one criteria and that is the length of one’s shadow on the future. This paper is a life sketch of Dr. Hedgewar which is based on the findings of qualitative research in which content analysis has been used as the methodology which was done with the pertinent sources in the form of documents, books, literature, interviews with volunteers of RSS and his contemporaries etc. along with available information on web sites.
