In the light of theoretical debate on the representation of female point of view in Zakariyya Tamir’s oeuvre and through the analysis of some selected works from Taksīr Rukab the paper aims at fulfilling the above mentioned objective. The female protagonist in the early works of Tamir have secondary role; i.e. to help male protagonist in search of basic necessities of life, while as in the post- exile works and especially in Taksīr Rukab the female protagonist gains centrality, becomes at par with men and transforms from being an object to subject.Using sexuality as an agency she manages to manipulate the socio-political institutions according to her aspirations, protests against the dominance of patriarchal system, thwart the claims of sexual as well as physical superiority of male over female, and ridicules the oppressive face of the government and institutionalized masculine hegemony.
