Abstract

Language itself conditions, limits, and predetermines what we see . Thus all reality is constructed through language. Everything is a linguistic construct. Language does not record reality, on the contrary it shapes and creates reality. Hence, theorists distrust  tantalization. The objective of this paper is to probe into the meaning of meaning, validity of meaning and the limitations of human knowledge, in the context of recent trends in language, literature, social sciences and life sciences. The methodology adopted is largely Poststructuralist and partly linguistic and particularly epistemological. The researcher proposes the following hypotheses: (a) Language is the only medium used to store human knowledge (c) The behavioral patterns of the linguistic items affect the organization of whole body of human knowledge and vice versa.      Hats off to the human beings on the earth and their achievements. At present, we define the world around us as a ‘global village’. The four thousand years history of ‘Homo Sapiens-wise man’ on earth has witnessed a lot of progress and today man is supreme among all other living creatures on the earth.
