Abstract

Work life balance was first termed in 1986 in US to explain the unhealthy life choices that many people where making. They were choosing to neglect other areas such as peer group, family and even their hobbies in favor of work related goals. Work life balance consists of implementation of working arrangements and policies that guide the workers in combining employment with the aspect of their life. These policies would increase commitment which results in productive work force. Achieving work life balance will ultimately create highly satisfied work force that leads to success of the organization. According to work foundation, the term work life balance is about individuals having a measure of control over when where and how the y lead them to be able to enjoy an optimal quality of life. It is being defined as establishing a successful balance between work obligations and personal commitment. This Study is about work life balance among teaching faculties working in B-Schools.
