Abstract

Every human being is provided with human rights to live a life according to his or her wishes. But these rights are not same regarding the women of our society. Whether they are outside or inside their houses these human rights are not for them. They are compelled to live a life which is under the dominance of the men as well as which is condemned by the society at every step. Honourkilling is one such practice which majorly affects the females. They expected to live according to the societal norms and conducts. It is presumed that the honour of a family depends upon the character of the woman and if she goes against the wishes of her family in any way, she is considered to bring shame to the family. In order to restore this so called honour the family members of the woman murders her without thinking of the love and affection they once shared.
