Abstract
The paper explores how Reshma, an acid-attack survivor displays a life-affirming and inspiring story who overcame insurmountable odds in an unjust world and dared to change it. She was poured acid on her face. The acid burnt her face like a living corpse, she even became blind by left eye but it could not quell the fire in her heart. The paper highlights the tragedy, suffering and psychological trauma through which she underwent. The horrific memories and humiliation faced by Reshma have been discussed in the paper.
