Abstract

Tamil Nadu architecture that developed a huge number of years earlier. It is for the most part Dravidian. A large number of temples with grand towers spot the horizon of the whole territory of Tamilnadu. The Tamils have been the best of sanctuary manufacturers. Sanctuaries from the pre Christian period and also those from the twentieth century exist in this state, where the old rulers have made exceptional commitments to the development of these landmarks of extraordinary imaginative esteem. The most exemplary commitments to Tamil Nadu sanctuaries architecture were made by the Pallavas, Cholas, Pandyas, Vijayanagar rulers and the Nayakas. Every line had its own specific manner to plan these lovely magnum opuses. The oldest sanctuaries were worked of block and concrete. Upto around 700 CE sanctuaries were scooped out of rocks. The Pallava Lords (upto 900) were incredible developers of sanctuaries in stone.
