Abstract
Agriculture is the backbone of the Assamese community. The economy of Assam totally depends on agriculture. Major agricultural products of Assam are rice (paddy), maize (corn), pulses, potato, wheat, etc. But due to the lack of proper training of farmers agricultural field development not run properly. A maximum numbers of farmers follow the traditional way for cultivation. There is no proper agriculture information system for farmers in rural areas. Agricultural information is an essential part of the development of a community. In this paper, it is tried to discuss the various information need of farmers in selected villages of the Darrang district of Assam.
