Abstract
Income tax department has expedited a facility of E-filing which is beneficial for both government and the tax payers. This study is undertaken to know about the advancement made by income tax department regarding filing of return, procedures for filing of return through e-filing and also says about the growth of e-filing in past years and in several states of India.
