Abstract

The aim of the current study is to find out the teaching effectiveness of elementary teacher educators working in govt. and private institution and compare the teaching effectiveness of teacher educator working in both type of institution. In order to achieve the  objective of the study. The researcher has developed a Scale on Teaching Effectiveness of Elementary Teacher Educators rated by D.El.Ed. Teacher trainees. Descriptive survey method was used for present investigation. The present study comprised   government and   private  institution of district Mandi of  Himachal Pradesh. In the present study  total sample of 100 D.El.Ed. Teacher trainees 25 From  each institution. They were selected on the basis of convenient sampling technique. : Data analysis was performed through the percentage and‘t’ test.  According to results it was found that there is no statistically significant difference of govt. and private elementary teacher educators regarding their teaching effectiveness at elementary level. But on the basis of their obtained mean scores it can be said that the level of teaching effectiveness of private teacher educators is comparatively better than the govt. It is very interestingly found through the present study that Teaching Effectiveness of Private elementary teacher educators are comparatively little effective than the Govt. elementary teacher educators. With respect to introducing the lesson, create teaching learning environment, arousing interest and explaining difficult content Majority of the Govt. elementary teacher educators score better value in compare to   Private elementary teacher educators.
