Abstract

With the expansion of the economy and e-Commerce in specific, there's an increasing need for logistics and therefore the Indian industry is about to robustly grow at 10-15 percent annually and can lead the pace of growth for the remainder of the economy at large. Because the industry moves from being a mere service provider to end-to-end solutions, it's paved the way for technology to play a growing role and makes the longer term look promising. In the logistics space, disruptors using technology will actively reduce in costs (in terms of discovery, work hours, reduced transit times, better communication resulting in reduced errors etc.). Freight Aggregator Platforms are going to be ready to provide on the spot comparative analysis and ensure transparency and control over logistics using the IoT. This paper through an extensive review of literature highlights the key trends in disruptions in logistics industry in India.
