Abstract

The paper “Cultural Diversity of South Asia: Its Preservation - The Need of the Hour” explores the diversity of the South Asian region to understand the ways in which the region has historically developed to become a colourful cultural rendition of the multi-cultural ethos leading to accommodating and respecting the concerns and sensibilities of all. The South Asian region, though diverse, has tried to champion the diversities so as to uphold the pluralistic ethos and heritage. Though the enemities between nations, such as  India and Pakistan, has marred the progress of the region, but with the attempts of the conglomeration of SAARC, the region is looking forward to a sustainable future and also preservation of its diversities and heritage.
