Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present the theoretical framework of factors to measure quality of work life in IT sector. Quality of work life in general is the perception of employee’s mental and physical well-being at their work place. Since the development of human relations school of thoughts, the quality of work life has seen a significant upsurge in organizations world across. Basically it is a method by which organizations can ensure the well-being of employees instead of focusing and concerning about their work related aspects. Now a day’s quality of work life is being used as a strategic tool to attract and retain the pool of talent. The study and scaling of Quality of Work Life is of high relevance in service oriented firms due to involvement of human resource as a critical success factor.
