Abstract

Entrepreneurship and startup are only a recent phenomenon in the country. It is only in the last decade and half that people in the country have moved from being job seekers to job creators. Doing a startup is tough and every country sees more failures than success. Having a brilliant idea is different from making that idea a business success. For a startup, it is very important to have mentors who have been through a similar process of starting or have business experience. In this paper we have made an attempt to know the perception of entrepreneurs regarding entrepreneurship and startup and to know the obstacles faced by them in the field of entrepreneurship and startup. For the purpose of study both primary and secondary data has been considered. Primary data is collected from the people of Mangalore city by distributing the questionnaires and secondary data is from the internet. Findings given in the study may fetch some value if it is brought into practice.
