Abstract

This study is focuses to analyse the impact of two major indicators of Indian Mutual Fund industry such as a) Assets under Management (AUM) b) Net resources mobilized by Indian Mutual Fund Industry on S&P BSE SENSEX for the period between financial year 2002-03 and financial year 2018-19 (17 years). Various parametric and non-parametric evaluation tools have been used to examine the degree and nature of relationship as well as directional causality between the selected variables. The study showed that the Assets under Management and Net resources mobilized by Indian Mutual Funds significantly influences the S&P BSE SENSEX, however, the extent of impact from Net resources mobilized by Indian Mutual Funds was found to be relatively moderate as compared to Assets under Management of Indian Mutual Funds.
