Abstract
Over the years the whole world has experienced a substantial increase in the use of digital technologies and the availability of varied forms of applications at an affordable rate so people from any background can access these resources. Technology caters to everyone’s needs irrespective of their background. Information and communication technologies have brought about a drastic change in the way we learn, communicate, conduct business and participate in community development. It has led humans to rethink, reshape, restructure and reorganize their working methods. It is available anywhere, anytime and most importantly to everyone. Thus, it has the capacity to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor, as well as gender gap which will lead to the empowerment of women.
