Abstract

Teacher freezing is an important aspect in determining the success of teaching and learning process. The present study is directed to explore the relationship between teacher freezing and occupational self-efficacy of government secondary school teachers. It makes an attempt to explore the effect of occupational self-efficacy on teacher freezing of government secondary school teachers of Punjab. The descriptive survey research method was employed and Teacher Freezing Scale (TFS) by Haseen Taj (1998) and Occupational self-efficacy Scale by Sanjyot Pethe, Sushama Chaudhari and Upinder Dhar (1998) were administered for collecting data for present study. The sample of the study constituted 200 male and female government secondary school teachers, selected through random cluster sampling technique, from Bathinda and Patiala districts of Punjab. Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation & t-test were employed to analyze the teacher freezing and occupational self-efficacy of government secondary school teachers.
