Abstract

Today’s world is a world of interdependence where no nation is perfect. Every nation is finding new dimension for development in this liberal and materialistic world. In such a situation, study of international relations becomes very important. Nepal is India’s closestneighbour.It counted as the least developed, landlocked country of South Asia.Becoming a neighbour and also a well-off part of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), it's India's duty to keep favorable political associations with Nepal and even more important, to help hasten the latter's economic growth programme through different linkages, like trade, economic guidance and expense. The existing post evaluates these various linkages, particularly coming from the viewpoint of economic improvement in Nepal. The Treaty of Friendship and Peace signed between Nepal and India in 1950 has been a topic of controversy inside Nepal. The matter has been frequently showcased in left parties' election manifestos in Nepal and turn into an agenda item in bilateral speaks.
