Abstract
Use of mobile telephony has seen a drastic increase over recent years. Increasingly affordable hand-held mobile phone devices and Internet packs have contributed to a spurt in the number of users who are online for extensive period of time each day. This has, in general, contributed to the spread of public awareness and building opinions. Over recent years, there have been several social media platforms which have proved to be great equalisers. The anonymity that the Internet generally renders to its users has helped them not only connect with well-known public figures, but also complete strangers.
