Abstract
Drama hogs the limelight among a variety of literary genres in modern age. This dynamic type of creative writing encompasses the infinite psychological and substantial, physical dimensions of human life within it's approach. It's development in the present complex and mature form is based on centuries of experiments and hard work . It has derived it's glory from the splendor of numerous magnanimous literary personalities . These various stalwarts of literary field appeared in different ages of history and left their peculiar contribution in the creative field of drama. To begin with the earliest drama took birth in the holy premises of the church and the actors were none other than the priests and clerics. With the passage of time an endless list of great writers illumined the theatrical art and propelled its expansion .
