Abstract

Auweele et al. (2001) claims that distinguishing, recognizing and evaluating athlete's repetitive behavioral functioning is extremely important throughout sport psychology, supporting experiments that aim to differentiate athletes from other groups. Several concepts of personality are found on the topic in the scientific literature. The main objective of the analysis is to compare and find out significant difference between intermediate and advanced sports performers on psychological characteristics. On psychological skills, two different performance level groups are compared. The aim of the study was to expose the relationship between psychological skills and performance level with possible effects on sport type and gender difference.
