Abstract
This research paper generally discuss about the concept of the uniform civil code and its various dimensions. The basic sense, concept and meaning is discussed in this paper with the legal dimension and various theories. This paper also discuss the needs and importance of the application of the uniform civil code in India. The relation between the principle of secularism and the uniform civil code is also discussed, and if secularism is implemented in India then how it will disturb the peace and harmony with the disintegration of the nation.
