Abstract
LIFI or Light Fidelity invented by Prof. Harald Hass of University of Edin burgh and IOT proposed by Kevin Ashton,Current wireless communication technologies such as wireless-fidelity (Wi-Fi) and Bluetooth use radio waves as the basic medium in transferring information. Though wireless communication is mostly used and is considererd as mosre efficient but the major current limitation is of the radio frequency (RF) band which has a narrow bandwidth which makes the complete system more and more crowded as well as less safe, secure and reliable hence transmission throughlight spectrum becomes a good alternative wayin the current scenerio. This paper mainly focus on applications, lifi based IoT architecture
